Ah...I have officially made it through another week. Honestly, everyone keeps telling me how terrible I must feel to be taking a summer class, but I am not upset about it yet. Math is by no means, a favorite topic of mine, but this class in particular is enjoyable to go to.
I will say, not a lot of interesting, blow-your-mind, experiences happened this week; because I was constantly studying and doing homework. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant week.
I was so excited to see an email on Friday that said I was accepted into DAAP for Fashion Design! That was probably the biggest accomplishment of this week. It is so difficult to get into that department, so I have been stressing over when I might get the acceptance or decline email. I went to UC Clermont full-time my last two years of high school, and these past two semesters were my first "official" college semesters. During all of that time, I have been so worried about getting the perfect scores in every class, because the School of Design at UC does not accept people with low GPA's. It is an extreme relief that all of that hard work paid off. Off to Vogue I go!
Another nice thing that happened this week was my boyfriend and I's 6 month anniversary! I'm actually not big on celebrating those things while you are dating, but there is something positive there, I guess. I guess 6 months is an accomplishment. Especially on his part. 6 months with me? Oh Lord, help him now! It's just when people celebrate like 2 weeks and say "Babe, oh Babe, I love you so so much." That's when my eyes roll. Oh well. Let them live their lives, Emma.
Okay, challenges... Let's see... As far as math goes, I struggled a little bit with conversions that had two units that needed to be converted. Like, going from miles per hour to kilometers per seconds, or something like that. Oh! There was a challenge that occurred a little over an hour ago here on Snyder farm (we don't actually have a farm...rather, some farm animals). Today, I had to help mom cut the goat hooves... Talk about monumental task! I'm just saying, goats are a lot stronger than you might think. Man, oh man.... Just a word from the wise, don't get goats (even though their faces are so darn cute), and DO NOT get chickens. They stink to high heavens and the roosters are the meanest animal on the planet. I digress.
Something I learned--well, I believe I learn something everyday, I just might not know it. I was talking to one of my friends from Ireland, and he told me the the entire country of Ireland could fit into Texas 19 times! Isn't that wild? Also, due to my scary fascination with the royal family, I found out that if you are of royal blood, you cannot take a date with you to special occasions unless you are engaged to be married. I imagine some of the rules are claustrophobic at times, but I also love it.
As far as a question, we just went over translating equations so, something like this:

"Suppose you have 6 nickels and 9 quarters in a desk drawer. What is the total value?"

I have to say, this has been a great week! I think it was a good idea that we changed the third test date to Friday, because that was the subject I was most confused about. I think I did fairly well; however, we will see... Honestly, I am sad for this short semester to be over. Normally I dislike math with a burning passion (which I think is because I did not understand it completely), but this has been an enjoyable time! If I could take every class like this, I would. There is a lot of busy work because it is all packed into a short period of time, but it manageable. I did a couple of fun things this week, to start off the summer. My friend in Mason opened a pizza restaurant that has both Chicago and New York style pizza, and let me tell you, it is amazing. Whoever reads this should check it out! It's called Two Cities Pizza. I believe they opened 7 months ago. Anyway, this past Friday, they had a block party celebrating their winning Best Pizza in Cincinnati. That was huge for th...

This week has flown by and has been somewhat enjoyable. The weather has been beautiful, which is nice because you can do homework outside! It's perfect for campfires as well, so needless to say, I've been putting down the s'mores. It's really amazing if you use Reese's instead of plain chocolate. Oh man... So amazing. Another fabulous campfire treat is roasted peeps. The sugar caramelizes and when it cools, it creates a hard covering that is so heavenly. I have accomplished many things this week; however, I will say, this weeks homework was the most challenging to me. Not because of the quantity, rather the material. If I spent long enough I would eventually get it, but it started to get frustrating. Another frustration was mymathlab. For some reason, some of the grid homework questions would just freeze every time I would try to do them *eye roll*. Anyway, the week itself has been nice. I babysat my friend's 2-year old on Saturday, which was more pleasant than ...

The end of the week meets me again, and I barely remember it starting. It went by so incredibly fast! I went to a wedding yesterday (Saturday), which was a lot of fun. It was two of my close friends, so it was a lot of fun. She looked absolutely beautiful and he looked nice, too. I love weddings. An accomplishment this week would probably be that I attempted to run... Well, I ended walking mostly. I think I ran for a total of 1 minute out of 35 minutes... It was 3.5 miles in the end, though, so something was accomplished. I so wish I were one of those people who could get up and run a marathon no problem, but no! Slow and steady wins the race, so at my pace, I'm first place! I went shopping with my sister, for the purpose of finding her an outfit for the wedding. One huge challenge was going shopping without buying anything (Spoiler: I bought two dresses). With that said, I believe something I learned was that I am a shopaholic... Isn't that terrible? How does a person fix th...
